For our Traffic and Transport Team, the proposed development involved extensive liaison with the Local Highways Authority to deliver a scheme that would be operatonally satisfactory whilst also simultaneously attempting to limit the impact of the development on the local road network and on nearby residential housing in Chester Green, Derby. The development was supported by a comprehensive Transport Assessment and Framework Workplace Travel Plan which was critical in allaying highway impact and capacity concerns from Derby City Council Highways Development Control.
The relocation of Trent Barton’s bus depot was granted approval in 2021, with construction due to commence on-site to the end of 2021. During this phase, our Structural Engineering team will have a significant input into the structural design of the proposed office and workshop units on-site.
