This bespoke School situated in Hackney, London combined a five storey Victorian police station basement which has been converted into classrooms and storage areas throughout to form part of the school. A visual and intrusive survey of the police station was undertaken to value engineer the wide v of construction details employed in the building particularly in the suspended floors to confirm their structural integrity for the proposed school loadings.

HSP’s Traffic & Transport Team provided extensive transport engineering input to the proposed school the preparation of a Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to house the new home of Olive School, Hackney. The school is set to open in September 2020 for reception and year one pupils.
