HSP Consulting’s Structural team were appointed by Loughborough University to design the main building (to be used by the National Tennis Association) at the Loughborough University Campus.

With a value of £4 million, the site had extremely poor ground conditions and therefore the viability of the site raised concern. As a solution, HSP provided a detailed specification for the internal and external tennis court slabs and significant compaction and geo-textile membranes were incorporated to achieve a minimum C.B.R of 5%.
