Project overview

The former Grade II Listed Kimberley Brewery is currently being converted into houses and apartments incorporating the original five storey Maltings building, the Oast Houses and the original Stable block. The six storey tower is to be converted into luxury apartments and a combination of piled foundations and mass concrete foundations have been adopted for the various house locations on the site due to some deep areas of made ground.

Structural survey reports incorporating proposals for lateral restraints to the Maltings Building have been prepared by HSP and in conjunction with the Historical representative from Broxtowe Council a detailed remedial scheme for the walls, floors, roof and basement area have been agreed and designed. The site is close to completion and is an example of combining heritage and grade listed buildings with contemporary and upmarket designs.
